Collecting Pl4ces is our project to signpost places of local significance by gathering impulse responses using a short transient sound at each location. In our case a popping balloon!
These transient recordings together with a freely available convolution reverb plugin will allow you to incorporate the acoustic identity of one of our local spaces into your musical creations.
If you would like to download our impulse responses and submit a track please follow these steps.
Steps:
- Download our impulse response recordings. They can be found here.
- Download the free Convology XT convolution reverb plugin which is available here. (Or use your convolution reverb of choice).
- Record your track incorporating one of our impulse responses.
- Submit your track using our form here. (Please note that you will need to have a Google account to submit your track. This is due to Google’s file upload restriction.)
Below is a brief overview video of how to use our impulse responses in your DAW.
Thank you for being a part of “Collecting Pl4ces“!
